Fire Safety awareness and mock drill organises at GDC Ganderbal

Srinagar, June 19-:- Fire and Emergency Services (FES) Ganderbal in collaboration with Disaster Management Club (DMC) and NCC Unit of Government Degree College Ganderbal organized an awareness program on fire safety awareness, followed by mock drill, on Thursday in the college campus.
The initiative aimed to educate students and staff on fire safety measures and emergency response procedures amidst the current heat wave.
On this occasion, fire safety experts from the FES department, namely Mohd. Maqbool Wagay, Mukhtar Ahamad Rather, Manzoor Ahmad Parray, and Zahoor Ahmad Khan, imparted hands-on training on the proper use of fire extinguishers and evacuation techniques and also highlighted the Do’s and Don’ts to be followed in such situations.
The program was organized under the patronage of the Principal of the college, Prof. Fouzia Fatima and was coordinated by Prof. Mansoor Ahmad Lone (Coordinator, DMC and ANO, NCC). Dr. Tauseef Ahmad Parray acted as the rapporteur.
A large number of participants, including faculty members, staff, and students, gained valuable knowledge on fire prevention, evacuation procedures, and emergency response protocols.
The college administration expressed gratitude to the experts/ trainers for their valuable contribution to the program.
