Srinagar, Feb 20, : A tragic accident claimed the life of a government school teacher in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday after she was struck by a speeding dumper, sources said.
Witnesses reported that a dumper, driven by an unknown person, hit the woman, causing severe injuries. She was immediately taken to District Hospital Budgam, but doctors declared her brought dead.
The victim has been identified as Shaista, wife of Fayaz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Housing Colony Ompora.
Police have taken note of the incident, and an investigation is currently underway.
