Srinagar, March 20, 2025:Daily train delays in Srinagar have become a major cause of frustration for commuters, disrupting work schedules, education, and daily routines. Passengers relying on the Banihal-Baramulla railway line are facing frequent delays, sometimes lasting up to 30 minutes, leaving them stranded and helpless.
Many commuters express their frustration over the unpredictable train schedules. “I have to reach my office in time, but the train is always late. My employer is getting fed up, and I have no other transport option,” said a daily passenger.
The delays are attributed to multiple factors, including technical faults, track maintenance, and alleged mismanagement by railway authorities. Despite repeated complaints, no significant improvement has been seen.
Local residents are demanding immediate action. “The government must intervene and ensure punctuality. People are suffering daily, and no one seems to care,” said a commuter.
Public demands for accountability, railway officials have yet to issue a clear response. Until authorities take serious steps to fix the issue, Srinagar’s daily train commuters will continue to suffer the consequences.
