Kashmir Advocates Association Condemns Twin Terror Attack
Srinagar, May 19, 2024 – The Kashmir Advocates Association has strongly condemned the barbaric twin terrorist attacks that rocked Anantnag and Shopian Districts of South Kashmir late on the night of May 18, 2024. The attacks, resulting in the tragic loss of one life and leaving two tourists gravely injured, have sparked outrage and calls for justice.
In a resounding denouncement, the Association labeled the attacks as cowardly and vile assaults on innocent civilians, branding the perpetrators as enemies of humanity. They emphasized that such acts not only target individuals but also strike at the heart of Kashmiriyat and the vital tourism industry, upon which many livelihoods depend.
Expressing solidarity with the victims, the Association extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and offered prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured tourists. Despite the tragedy, KAA vowed to stand firm against terrorism, reaffirming their commitment to the values of unity, compassion, and tolerance that define Kashmiriyat.
Demanding swift and severe justice, the Association called upon authorities to apprehend the culprits and ensure they face the full force of the law. They urged citizens to remain vigilant and united in the face of terrorism, stressing that the spirit of Kashmiriyat is stronger than the malicious intentions of terrorists.
KAA urged authorities for intensified efforts to eradicate terrorism from the region, emphasizing the paramount importance of ensuring the safety and security of all residents and visitors in Kashmir.
