DC Pulwama Inspects Ongoing Developmental Sites in Rajpora
Pulwama, July 20:- Deputy Commissioner,(DC) Pulwama, Dr Basharat Qayoom IAS conducted a detailed inspection of ongoing developmental projects in Rajpora, including the Government Degree College Rajpora, the Overhead Tank (OHT), and the Hospital Rajpora.
Dr. Qayoom directed the concerned executing agencies to expedite the pace of ongoing developmental works at the Government Degree College (GDC) to ensure completion within the stipulated timeframe. The Overhead Tank (OHT), with an approved cost of ₹341.44 lakh, is scheduled for commissioning in the first week of August 2024, benefiting 256 households through the scheme.
During a surprise inspection of Hospital Rajpora, Dr. Qayoom took stringent action by suspending the Block Medical Officer (BMO) and stopping her salary due to the lack of cleanliness and proper infrastructure.
Dr. Qayoom also directed the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) to initiate work on establishing a hotline for the hospital to enhance healthcare services. Additionally, instructions were given to the Tehsildar Rajpora to demarcate the project of GDC, which has been encroached upon.
Among others, the Principal of GDC Rajpora, Executive Engineers, and district officers accompanied the DC during the inspection.
