NC Legislature Sagar Assures Rehbar-i-Janglat Employees of Early Resolution of Their Demands

Srinagar, Feb 21, National Conference General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar has assured Rehbar-i-Janglat employees that their long-pending demand for regularization will be addressed on priority, reaffirming the government’s commitment to fulfilling its election promises.

During a meeting with representatives of the Rehbar-i-Janglat employees, Sagar acknowledged their grievances and stressed that their concerns were legitimate. He assured them that the party would take up the issue with the concerned authorities to expedite the regularization process.

The Rehbar-i-Janglat scheme, introduced in 2017, was aimed at engaging professionals in the Forest, Ecology, and Environment Department on a contractual basis. Under the scheme, hundreds of employees were appointed with the assurance of regularization after five years of service. However, despite fulfilling their tenure, many of these employees are still waiting for their services to be confirmed, leaving them in a state of uncertainty.

The employees have repeatedly staged protests, demanding that the government uphold its commitment and issue regularization orders without further delay. Many argue that they have been serving in tough forest terrains under challenging conditions and deserve job security and financial stability.
