Srinagar, July 21 : Weather department here on Friday forecast generally cloudy with possibility of light to moderate rain at many places of Poonch and Rajouri besides at scattered places elsewhere in Jammu and Kashmir during next 24 hours.
โHeavy rain is likely at some places of Poonch, Rajouri and Reasi districts,โ a meteorological department official here told GNS.
He said intermittent light to moderate rain and thundershower was expected at many places of Jammu and at scattered places of Kashmir on July 22.
The weather department said that there is risk of โflash flood and mudslidesโ at vulnerable places of Poonch and Rajouri today.
โPeople are advised to remain cautious and stay away from Streams, Rivers and other vulnerable spots,โ the official added.
Regarding rainfall in the last 24 hours till 0830 hours today, he said, Srinagar received 0.1mm, Qazigund traces, Pahalgam 5.3mm, Kupwara 2.7mm, Gulmarg 2mm, Jammu 0.2mm, Bhaderwah 33.4mm and Batote 1.6mm.
Regarding the minimum temperature today, he said, Srinagar recorded a low of 21.7ยฐC, Qazigund 19.8ยฐC, Pahalgam 16.0ยฐC, Kupwara 16.2ยฐC, Kokernag 19.3ยฐC, Gulmarg 14.3ยฐC, Jammu 27.0ยฐC, Banihal 20.6ยฐC, Batote 20.4ยฐC, Katra 23.2ยฐC and Bhaderwah 18.6ยฐC. (GNS)
