AIP Clarifies: No Candidates Finalized Yet for Assembly Elections

Srinagar, August 20: The Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) has not yet nominated any candidates for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, according to a statement from Party Chief Spokesman Inam Un Nabi. He emphasized that the party is currently engaged in consultations with people across various constituencies to ensure the selection of candidates reflects the aspirations of the local communities.

Inam Un Nabi clarified that the final list of candidates will be announced through a press conference after these deliberations are completed, reinforcing AIP’s commitment to a democratic and transparent selection process.

The statement also highlighted the role of AIP’s incarcerated Party Supremo and Member of Parliament, Engineer Rashid, who has been instrumental in guiding the party’s grassroots engagement strategy. Despite his incarceration, Engineer Rashid remains deeply committed to ensuring that the candidates who represent AIP in the elections are those who genuinely have the trust and support of the local communities.
