300 High-Density Apple Trees Stolen in Kulgam village, farmer in distress, seeks justice

Kulgam, Dec 22: In a shocking incident, three hundred high-density apple trees were stolen by burglars in Chanser area of south kashmiri’s Kulgam district, alleges family on Sunday.

Sources said, the orchard which belongs to Abdul Khali Itoo, a resident of Chanser, Kulgam was stolen by unknown individuals who uprooted valuable Italy trees with
shovels, causing significant financial loss to the owner.

 “This incident has left us feeling insecure. We put years of hard work into nurturing these trees, and to see them stolen like this is devastating,” said a farmer.

The high-density apple trees, known for their premium quality and market value, are priced between ₹800 to ₹1,200 per plant. 

The thefts have sent alarm bells ringingamong the orchardists who have appealed to the authorities to nab the culprits at the earliest.
