KulgamJanuary 23,In its relentless efforts to contain the drug menace, Kulgam Police has arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A Police team of PS Yaripora at a checkpoint established at Kokergund Crossing , Humshali bugh intercepted a person roaming in suspicious condition. He has been identified as *Faizan Ahmad Dar son of Nafeez Ahmad Dar resident of Brazloo Jagir*. During search, 2.087 grams of Heroin like contraband substance was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 06/2025 under NDPS Act has been registered at PS Yaripora and investigation initiated.
Kulgam Police yet again appeals to the general public to assist them in the fight against drug trafficking by sharing any relevant information. Together, we can work towards creating a safer, drug-free society.
