Srinagar, Feb 23 : In his latest Mann Ki Baat address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that he will hand over his social media accounts to women achievers from various fields on March 8, marking International Women’s Day. These women will share their experiences and contributions through his widely followed accounts on platforms like X, YouTube, and Instagram.

During his address, the Prime Minister also highlighted the rising problem of obesity in India, citing research that shows one in eight individuals is affected, with cases doubling in recent years. He noted a fourfold increase in childhood obesity and urged people to reduce their oil intake by 10%. Encouraging a collective effort, he suggested a chain challenge where each person inspires 10 others to adopt healthier eating habits.

To stress the importance of fitness, Modi played audio messages from notable figures, including Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra.

Additionally, the Prime Minister encouraged people to explore scientific pursuits by spending “one day as a scientist” at research institutions or planetariums on National Science Day. Addressing students appearing for board exams, he advised them to stay happy and stress-free, highlighting the positive response to the Pariksha Pe Charcha initiative.
