Illegal extraction & transportation of minerals, Police seizes 4 vehicles, arrests 4 persons in Baramulla

March 23: Cracking a whip on illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police have seized 4 vehicles and arrested 4 drivers in Baramulla.

A police party under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by SHO PS Baramulla seized 4 vehicles (Excavator, 3 tippers) and arrested 4 drivers at Khanpora and Dargam Baramulla, involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals. The accused drivers have been identified as Gh Hassan Waza son of Ab Rehman resident of Sheeri Zandfaran, Mohd Shafi Parra son of Ab Ahad resident of Hamrey Pattan, Zubair Ahmad Dar son of Sonaullah Dar & Altaf Ahmad Dar son of Ali Mohd both residents of Khanpora Baramulla.

Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Baramulla and further investigation has been initiated.

People are requested not to indulge in any kind of illegal mining activities from any Nallah as it is the violation of Government rules. Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law.
