Police arrests 02 drug peddlers in Baramulla; psychotropic substances recovered
April 23: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police in Baramulla have arrested 02 drug peddlers and recovered psychotropic substances from their possession.
A Police party of PS Tangmarg under the supervision of SDPO Tangmarg Shri Imtiaz Ahmed-JKPS during routine patrolling at Ferozpora Tangmarg intercepted 02 suspicious persons who tried to flee from the spot on seeing the police party but were apprehended tactfully. During search, 48 tablets of SpasmoProxyvon Plus & 75 tablets of Alprox were recovered from their possession. They have been identified as Waseem Ahmad Dar son of Mohd Sultan Dar resident of Watalpora & Javid Mohiuddin Bhat son of Gh Mohiuddin Bhat resident of Allahpora Karhama. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Tangmarg and further investigation has been initiated.
People are requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per law.
