PSAJK Srinagar appeals Govt to announce vacation in view of prevailing heat wave
Srinagar, July 23: The Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) District Srinagar has appealed the government to announce vacation for schools, especially for lower classes on a priority basis, due to increasing temperatures and humid conditions.
The Association said that they have been receiving representations from a number of parents and even schools about the hot weather conditions.
Today a meeting was convened to discuss the impact of heat wave in view of the concern raised by the parents. The meeting was addressed by greater Srinagar President Ab Majid Bhat and District President Bilal Ahmad Bhat
The office bearers, in a statement, said that exposure to extreme humid conditions and hot temperatures can have a negative impact on health of children.
At schools too, these children are not able to focus, thus the entire exercise of classes goes to waste. “In order to safeguard the health of our children, we appeal the government to announce the vacations in view of the prevailing heat wave,” he said.
