Rain Showers to Bring Relief from Heatwave in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jul 23: Relief from the ongoing heatwave is in sight for Kashmir, with a weather forecast predicting a mix of sunny and cloudy conditions accompanied by intermittent rain showers over the next few days. This forecast was issued on Tuesday by the independent weather forecaster, Kashmir Weather.
Temperatures across the region are expected to improve, with a slight chance of rain in the morning or late afternoon. In the Jammu region, rain is predicted to pause by Tuesday night, with the possibility of overnight showers continuing for the next two days.
The weather service has warned of a moderate risk of landslides and shooting stones on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
For pilgrims undertaking the Amarnath Yatra, the forecast predicts a mix of clouds and sun with possible rain showers, although overall dry weather is anticipated. Temperatures at the holy cave are expected to peak around 20 degrees Celsius during the day and drop to 10 degrees Celsius at night. (Agencies)
