Kathua, Mar 24, The gunfight between infiltrators and joint forces has halted in the Sanyal Hiranagar area of Kathua district of Jammu.
Earlier, an intense gunfight erupted between Joint forces and suspected infiltrators with police sources indicating the presence of at least five militants in the dense forest area.
During the initial exchange of fire, a minor girl from Bihar had sustained injuries. The operation was halted after intense gunfire due to darkness and difficult terrain.
Reports said that the firing between the infiltrators and the joint forces have stopped while the search operation is underway to track down the militants.
