Telangana: Two Maoists surrendered before police in Bhadradri Kothagudem Dist

Hyderabad: Vexed with the Maoist ideology, a CPI (Maoist) section commander and a militia member surrendered before the police at Bhadradri Kothagudem district in Telangana on Wednesday.
Section commander, Veko Deva alias Sandeep of Yampur village and militia member, Madvi Pojja of Tumrel village in Bijapur district, surrendered before Bhadradri Kothagudem district Superintendent of Police Dr. G.Vineeth G and CRPF 141Bn Deputy Commandant Singaravelu.
Joined Maoist movement in 2015, Deva, who carried SLR weapons, was involved in the exchange of fire with security forces at Udatamalla in 2016, at Yerraballi and Todka in 2020 and at Nendra in 2021 in the west Bastar division, police said..
Pojja, who joined the Maoist party in 2019, carried a 12 bore weapon, took part in an attack on CRPF personnel at Basaguda in Feb 2022 and on CRPF camp under Kistaram police station limits this year.
