New Delhi, Nov 24 (UNI) Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Friday paid tributes to Guru Tegh Bahadur on his martyrdom day.
In a message, the Vice President’s Secretariat said that on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day, Dhankhar recalled the valour, sacrifice and selfless service of humanity of Guru Teg Bahadur.
“On the martyrdom day of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, I am reminded of his message of valour, sacrifice and selflessness of humanity. Let us follow his message of justice and dedication to humanity on this day. ”
Guru Tegh Bahadur (1664-1675) was the ninth Guru of Sikhism and was assassinated on the orders of Aurangzeb.
He had opposed the forced conversion of Hindus in Kashmir.
