Govt constitutes district-level committees for conducting verification of all beneficiaries enrolled under PDS database
Srinagar, Dec 25, : Jammu and Kashmir government has constituted District Level Committee(s) for conducting verification of all beneficiaries enrolled in the PDS database.
As per an order issued by the Government, a copy of which lies with CNS, Deputy Commissioner concerned will be chairman of the concerned while assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Assistant Commissioner, Development and District Social Welfare Officer will be members and Assistant Director, FCS & CA will be member secretary of the committee.
The Chairperson may co-opt any other member, as deemed appropriate.
The terms of reference of the committee are to verify the eligibility of all beneficiaries enrolled in the database, in light of applicable rules, and ensure weeding out of ineligible beneficiaries therefrom, to ensure inclusion of left-out eligible beneficiaries, if any identified, in appropriate groups/categories under PDS and to ensure completion of e-KYC of all pending beneficiaries eligible under PDS.
The Committee(s) shall submit report(s) in this regard to the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, within a period of one month, reads the order.
