Republic Day 2026 celebrated with Patriotic fervour across Judiciary Institutions of Kashmir Division

SRINAGAR, JANUARY 26: The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit across various judiciary institutions of the Kashmir Division today.
The occasion was marked by the unfurling of the National Flag, ceremonial parades, and solemn observances highlighting the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law.
AT SRINAGAR: under the directions of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh, the District Judiciary Srinagar, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar, celebrated the 77th Republic Day at the District Court Complex, Srinagar, with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.
The celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Principal District & Sessions Judge (Chairman DLSA) Srinagar, Haq Nawaz Zargar, followed by a solemn salute to the guards, symbolizing national unity and integrity.
The event witnessed participation from Ld. Judicial Officers of District Judiciary Srinagar, Officers of the Prosecution Department, Members of Bar, the Assistant Commandant of CRPF Battalion 144, officials from the Roads & Buildings Department, Treasury, Court staff, DLSA staff, Legal Aid Defense Counsels (LADC), Support Staff for LADCs, members of the Kashmir Advocate Association, Panel Lawyers, Mediators and Para-Legal Volunteers. The gathering reflected a collective sense of national pride and commitment to justice.
Addressing the gathering, Haq Nawaz Zargar emphasized the constitutional values and duties of the citizens.
Thereafter, the children of Palash and Pareesha presented patriotic songs which filled the atmosphere with national pride, followed by distribution of certificates of appreciation to the children and the officials of the Pipe Band of DPL Srinagar.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks by Umi Kulsoom Presiding Officer POCSO Court, Srinagar.
AT KULGAM: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kulgam, in collaboration with the District Judiciary, Kulgam, celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at the District Court Complex, Kulgam.
The celebrations commence with the unfurling of the National Flag by Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Principal District & Sessions Judge (Chairman, DLSA) Kulgam, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Rafiya Khaki, Additional District Judge, Kulgam; Chief Judicial Magistrate/Sub Judge, Kulgam; Additional Mobile Magistrate, Kulgam; and Judicial Magistrate First Class, Kulgam. Public Prosecutors, the Bar President, advocates, officials and staff of the District Judiciary and DLSA, prosecution staff, Legal Aid Defence Counsels (LADCs) along with their supporting staff, Panel Lawyers, and Para-Legal Volunteers of DLSA Kulgam were also present on the occasion.
As a mark of appreciation, Chairman DLSA, distributed sweets among the Police and CRPF contingents after the flag-hoisting ceremony.
Additionally, similar Republic Day celebrations were organized across all Tehsil Legal Services Committees in the district.
AT KUPWARA: The 77th Republic Day celebration function was held today at District Court Complex Kupwara during which Principal District & Session Judge Kupwara, Manjeet Singh Manhas unfurled the National Flag and took salute.
On the occasion, Officers from Judiciary, Bar members and court staff was present.
AT ANANTNAG: The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great dignity and patriotic fervor at the District Court Complex, Anantnag today.
The celebrations commence with the unfurling of the National Flag by Principal District & Sessions Judge Anantnag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
Judicial officers, court staff, Public Prosecutors with staff, members of the Bar Association, and other officials were present on the occasion.
On the occasion, the significance of Republic Day was highlighted, emphasizing the values enshrined in the Constitution of India, including justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
The speakers recalled the immense sacrifices made by freedom fighters and the visionary leadership of the framers of the Constitution.
The event served as a reminder of the vital role of the judiciary in upholding the rule of law, constitutional values, and democratic principles. The celebration concluded with a renewed pledge by all present to perform their duties with integrity and commitment in the service of the nation.
Later, the Principal District & Sessions Judge distributed gift boxes among the Police officials who showed their full dedication in making this event a grand success.
Republic Day Celebration ceremony also took place at the Tehsil levels of District Anantnag where Ld. Chairpersons of TLSCs unfurled the National Flag with the National Anthem being played with all due respect.
The programme ended in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, reflecting the true spirit of Republic Day.
AT Kupwara: The 77th Republic Day of India was commemorated with great dignity, solemnity and patriotic fervour at the premises of the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), Kupwara where the National Tricolour was unfurled in a ceremonious manner and in strict adherence to the directions issued by the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
The National Flag was unfurled by the Principal Magistrate, Juvenile Justice Board Kupwara, Mudasir Bashir in the presence of Member JJB, Ishaq Ahmad, the staff of the Juvenile Justice Board, Members of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Kupwara and the officers and staff of the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) Kupwara.
While addressing the gathering, the Principal Magistrate eloquently reflected upon the historic significance of Republic Day and the enduring values enshrined in the Constitution of India. He further observed that the juvenile justice system stands as a vital pillar in safeguarding the rights, dignity and future of children in conflict with law and children in need of care and protection, through a balanced approach of compassion, reformative justice and rehabilitation.
AT BARAMULLA: District Judiciary Baramulla celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at District Court Complex Baramulla where Jawad Ahmad, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Baramulla unfurled the National Flag.
A contingent of Police and BSF presented a ceremonial Guard of Honour on the occasion.
The celebration was attended by Abdul Quayom Mir, Special Judge, NDPS Cases, Majid Farooq Sub-Judge, Baramulla; Imran Hanief, Special Mobile Magistrate, Baramulla; Hiteshwar Kesar, Munsiff/JMIC, Baramulla, and Neelofer, President, Bar Association, Baramulla.
AT PULWAMA: 77th Year of Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervor and high enthusiasm at the District Court premises Pulwama.
On the occasion, Manzoor Ahmad Zargar, (Special Judge NDPS) Incharge, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge), unfurled the Tricolor in the premises of the District Court Pulwama and National anthem was also recited in District Court Complex Pulwama.
He also took salute at the March-Past in presence of all the Judicial Officers. Besides staff members of District Court Pulwama, DLSA Staff, LADCs, Prosecution staff, E-court Staff, Members Bar Association Pulwama and PLVs were also present.
In addition, all the TLSC’s associated with District Legal Services Authority Pulwama including Awantipora, Tral, and Pampore also unfurled the National Flag in their respective jurisdictions.
AT SHOPIAN: District Court Complex Shopian today witnessed a dignified ceremony to mark the 77th Republic Day.
The event was presided over by Mehmood Ahmad Chowdhary, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Shopian, who also serves as the Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Shopian.
Chowdhary unfurled the national tricolour in a solemn and symbolic act, reaffirming the commitment of the judiciary to the sovereignty, unity, and integrity of the nation. The ceremony was imbued with a spirit of patriotism and constitutional values.
The occasion was graced by the presence of all judicial officers of the district. Officers and staff members of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and the Legal Aid Defence Counsel (LADC) system, Shopian, were also in attendance.
The gathering represented the collective dedication of the entire district judiciary and legal fraternity towards the service of the nation and its people.
Addressing the gathering, Mehmood Ahmad Chowdhary emphasized the significance of the Constitution of India and the fundamental rights and duties enshrined within it. He highlighted the crucial role of the judiciary and legal services institutions in upholding the rule of law and ensuring access to justice for all, particularly the marginalized and underprivileged sections of society, as a true tribute to the spirit of the Republic.
The ceremony concluded with a sense of pride and renewed resolve to work for the dispensation of justice and the welfare of the citizens, upholding the ideals of the Indian Republic.
