Budgam, February 26: In a formal handover ceremony held at the office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Athar Aamir Shafi Khan (IAS) on Wednesday assumed charge as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Budgam.
He succeeded Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-din Bhat (IAS), who previously held the position. The charge was taken in the presence of several senior officers of the district administration.
Among those present on the occasion were Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam Mehraj-ud-din Shah, Joint Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Budgam, all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), District Information Officer (DIO) Budgam, Tehsildars, and other senior district officials.
The newly appointed Deputy Commissioner was accorded a warm welcome by the officers and officials. Following the formal assumption of charge, the DC interacted with senior officers of the district and discussed administrative matters.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner expressed his gratitude to the officers and officials present and emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts for effective governance and public service delivery in the district.
