*Handwara Police Seizes 09 Tractors and 01 Tipper Involved in Illegal Mining and transportation of Minerals*

*As part of an intensified drive against illegal mining and transportation of minerals, Handwara Police today seized Nine (09) tractors and 01Tipper across various locations within Police District Handwara for their involvement in unlawful extraction and transportation of minerals*.

Based on inputs and routine patrolling, police teams from different jurisdictions within the district launched coordinated operations. During these operations, 09 tractors and 01 tipper were intercepted while transporting minerals in violation of the Jammu and Kashmir Minor Mineral Concession, Storage, Transportation of Minerals and Prevention of Illegal Mining Rules, 2016.
