DC Kupwara flags off bike rally at Kupwara, ADC at Handwara, SDM at Sogam

KUPWARA, JUNE 26: District Administration Kupwara today organized bike rallies at Kupwara, Handwara and Sogam to observe International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
Main bike rally was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir at DC Office premises in presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat, Nodal Officer/DSWO, ARTO, DYSO, DIO Kupwara and other concerned officers and staff.
The bike rally started from from D.C Office Kupwara , went through Kupwara-Sopore National Highway up to Drugmulla,returned back to Kupwara market and culminated at Degree College Kupwara.
The bikers were dressed white shirts with slogans ‘say No to Drugs’
Addressing at the occasion the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of celebration of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. He said the objective of organizing bike rallies and other programmes envisaged at to spread awareness regarding ill affects of drugs, its consumption and trafficking.
At Handwara, the Bike rally was flagged off by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir at Boys Higher Secondary School Handwara which culminated at Degree Colleges Handwara in presence of local officers and staff.
At Sogam, the Bike rally was flagged off by Sub Divisional Magistrate, Sogam, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat at Degree College Sogam in presence of officers and staff.
