Srinagar: On behalf of the entire Shia community, i extend my heartfelt gratitude for the decision to permit the Muharram procession after an incredibly long wait of three decades. This momentous decision holds profound significance for muslims especially for our shia community and marks a new era of religious freedom and understanding.
I acknowledge the complexities and considerations involved in arriving at this conclusion, and i truly appreciate the empathy and openness shown by the administration. Allowing them to commemorate this sacred occasion in the traditional manner reaffirms our faith in the principles of inclusivity and diversity within our society.
The long-awaited return of the Muharram procession is not only a celebration of our religious customs but also a symbol of unity and harmony among different communities. It reinforces the idea that through understanding and mutual respect, we can bridge any divides and build a stronger, more cohesive community.
