Srinagar, Oct 26– BJP General Secretary for J&K, Ashok Koul, expressed confidence that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) would soon become part of Jammu and Kashmir, aligning with India’s territorial integrity. Highlighting the transformation in J&K, he emphasized that while the region once faced frequent shutdowns, it now experiences substantial development and progress.
Koul referred to a resolution passed in Parliament supporting PoK’s integration with Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that the BJP remains committed to this pursuit. He linked this stance to the abrogation of Article 370, which fully integrated J&K with India under a unified constitution.
Addressing recent attacks in the region, Koul noted these actions are aimed at disturbing peace, though security forces are actively working to neutralize these threats. He supported Farooq Abdullah’s recent statement, aligning with the BJP’s long-standing position against negotiations with Pakistan until terrorism ceases in J&K.
