Baramulla,27 Mar: Drug Peddler arrested; 90 grams of contraband Charas like substance recovered at Zangam Crossing Pattan during naka checking; Case registered.
Police under the supervision of Sh Mohammad Nawaz-JKPS, SDPO Pattan assisted by Inspr Sarjan Ahmad, SHO PS Pattan arrested Drug Peddler namely Rayees Ahmad Sheikh S/O Ali Mohd Sheikh R/O Khore Sherabad Pattan during naka checking at Zangam Crossing Pattan on seeing naka party tried to flee from the spot but were apprehend tactfully by the alert naka party.
During his personal search 90 grams of contraband Charas like substance was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately.
Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Pattan and investigations set in motion.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.
