Ganderbal: The district administration is fully prepared to welcome the devotees to the annual Mela Kheer Bhawani here, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shyambir said on Friday.
He said all necessary arrangements have been made in and around the temple in view of the annual fair on May 28.
Talking to media persons, the DC, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said security arrangements, supervised by SSP Ganderbal, have been put in place to ensure a smooth annual fair.
The DC said he has instructed all the relevant departments including the Jal Shakti and Health to ensure facilities for the devotees.
“The temple and its premises have been illuminated while CCTV cameras have been installed in various places. Makeshift tents, that are part of the accommodation, have been erected while the area and the creeks & springs in and around the temple have been cleared,” he said.
The Mela Kheer Bhawani is celebrated every year at Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple Shrine in the Tulmulla area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district—(KNO)
