Power Supply Restored; Says AEE Sheikh Bagh
Srinagar: 11KV Lines of Lal Chowk, Barbar Shah, Sonwar, Batwara And Other Areas Were Damaged Due To Strong Winds, Lightning. Most Of The Lines Were Restored During The Night Hours . However Huge Chinar And Other Trees Fallen On 11KV Batwara Line Couldn’t Be Removed During The Night. The Trees Are Removed And The Damaged Insulators, Conductor Etc Is Being Replaced. After Hectic Work Done By Sheikh Bagh Division Now Power Has Been Restored Remain Area’s.
Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) KPDCL, Sheikh Bagh Nissar Ahmad when contacted said that windstorm and lightning with heavy rains during last night caused extensive damage to the power infrastructure. He said extensive damage has been reported from Sheikh bagh jehlum bund, kp bagh and batwara.
