3-Day Orientation prog. for newly promoted headmasters concluded in Sopore DSEK & CEO Baramulla collaborate to equip headmasters for leadership roles

BARAMULLA, JULY 27: Directorate of School Education Kashmir, in collaboration with the Chief Education Officer Baramulla, today concluded a three day orientation programme for newly promoted Headmasters at the auditorium of Govt Degree College Boys Sopore.
Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G.N. Itoo, was the chief guest on the occasion and the programme was attended by the Joint Director Education, North Kashmir; CEO Baramulla, experts from State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and all the recently promoted headmasters of district Baramulla.
Speaking on the occasion, Director School Education congratulated the newly promoted headmasters and encouraged them to embrace the responsibilities that come with their new role.
He emphasized that a promotion from master to headmaster is not just a change in designation, but a shift in duty from being solely an academician to becoming the administrative head of the school with increased responsibilities requiring leadership, management, and vision.
Furthermore, Dr. Itoo encouraged the newly promoted Headmasters to lead by example and build a positive work culture that fosters accountability, innovation, and student-centric growth.
Meanwhile, CEO Baramulla stressed on the headmasters to stay updated with departmental policies and administrative procedures to ensure smooth functioning of their respective schools.
During the three-day orientation program, experts from SCERT offered comprehensive guidance to newly promoted headmasters on effectively handling administrative, financial, and academic responsibilities.
The headmasters were also updated on key aspects of the National Education Policy, including strategies to overcome challenges, implement policy frameworks, and adopt effective methods to improve the overall quality of education.
