Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association Srinagar / Kashmir Advocate’s Association Meets Union Law Minister in Srinagar

Srinagar, July 2025 – A delegation from the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association / Kashmir Advocate’s Association, led by President Advocate Waseem Gul, held a productive meeting with Union Minister of Law and Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, in Srinagar today. The discussion centered on pressing issues related to the welfare of lawyers and the advancement of the legal framework in Jammu and Kashmir.
The delegation highlighted key concerns, including the need for enhanced infrastructure for legal professionals, improved access to resources, and initiatives to support the professional development of advocates including stipend and pension. They also emphasized the importance of addressing challenges faced by the legal community to ensure a more efficient and equitable judicial system.
Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Law Minister, attentively engaged with the delegation, acknowledging the critical role of lawyers in upholding justice. He assured the Bar Association of the Central Government’s full commitment to addressing their concerns and providing necessary support to strengthen the legal ecosystem in the region.
