UT Foundation Day Celebration: Cultural Unit Kashmir DIPR organizes Nukkad Natak at Jhelum River Front
SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 27 : In continuation to the celebrations to mark the UT Foundation Day on 31st October, the Cultural Unit Kashmir of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) today organized a Nukkad Natak and Ladishah (traditional storytelling) at the Jhelum River Front Rajbagh Srinagar.
The theme of the Nukkad Natak was ‘Badalta Khilta Jammu Kashmir’ (Changing and Blooming Jammu Kashmir). The performance highlighted the various developmental initiatives taken by the government in Jammu and Kashmir since the reorganisation of J&K as a UT, especially the record-making digitization of government services, schemes including JK Rural Emp. Generation Program, PMEGP, National Livelihood Mission, MUDRA Loans, Stand UP India – MSME Loans, PMFME Scheme etc.
Artists from Angel’s Cultural Academy performed at the event witnessed by a large gathering.
The highlight of the evening was the Ladishah performance by Rayees Wathori.
It is worth mentioning here that the Cultural Unit Kashmir of DIPR will organize a series of Nukkad Nataks, Ladishahs, photo exhibitions, and other activities across Kashmir in the coming days to generate awareness about the developmental activities taking place in Jammu and Kashmir. Through these activities, DIPR aims to showcase the transformations witnessed in development and other social sectors in J&K over the past few years.
Officers and officials of the Cultural Unit Kashmir were also present on the occasion.
