Srinagar, December 27: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari paid glowing tributes to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, describing his demise as a great loss to the nation.
In his statement, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said, “Today, our country has lost a great leader, a visionary statesman, and a distinguished economist. Dr. Manmohan Singh dedicated his entire life to serving the nation, and his remarkable contributions will be remembered for generations to come.”
He further said, “Dr. Singh’s contributions to shaping the country’s economy will be remembered for generations. As Finance Minister in 1991, he played a key role in changing India’s economy by ending the Licence Raj, a system that had held back economic growth for many years.”
“We have truly lost one of our tallest leaders today. May the Almighty grant his noble soul eternal peace,” Mr. Bukhari added.
