BJP Leader Calls for Renewing Arms Licenses, Strengthening Security After Kathua Attack

Jammu, Mar 28, Expressing concern over the recent militant attack in Kathua that claimed the lives of brave police personnel, BJP spokesperson Dr. Abhijeet Singh Jasrotia has urged the administration to renew and issue new arms licenses to eligible individuals.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters in Jammu, Dr. Jasrotia, accompanied by Dr. Pardeep Mahotra and Parduman Singh, emphasized the need to strengthen the second line of defense to counter security threats. He praised the security forces for their valor in neutralizing militants during the Jathana encounter and assured continued support for the martyrs’ families.
Dr. Jasrotia accused Pakistan of shifting its militancy strategy beyond Kashmir due to mounting pressure from Indian security forces and stressed that India is fully capable of responding to such threats with stringent measures. He urged the people of Kathua to stay united and vigilant against Pakistan-sponsored militancy.
Calling for a transparent process in issuing arms licenses, he warned that delays caused by tainted elements could endanger common citizens. He also criticized regional political parties for their soft stance on Pakistan, asserting that India will not tolerate militancy while engaging in dialogue.
