Govt committee recommends March Academic session, Final approval in few days

Srinagar, Aug 28 : Three member committee headed by Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) Director submitted a formal proposal to the Government to shift the academic session to March.

A top official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that the three member committee headed by chairman JKBOSE have submitted a formal proposal to Government to shift the academic session to March.

“So far no final decision has come from the Government regarding this matter. However in coming days it will be implemented as all the preparations have been completed,” he said, adding that students will have to wait for a few days for the final decision.

Noteworthy, the move follows the National Education Policy (NEP) guidelines and the Centre’s policy of the Uniform Academic Calendar.
