Bandipora-Gurez Road Reopens After 28 Days for One-Way Traffic

Bandipora, March 29, The Bandipora-Gurez road has been reopened for one-way traffic after a 28-day closure due to heavy snowfall, officials confirmed on Saturday.
The Border Roads Organization (BRO) successfully cleared the 85-kilometer stretch, allowing controlled vehicular movement. Unlike previous years, when the road remained inaccessible for nearly three months during winter, this season’s closure was significantly shorter.
Authorities have announced that two-way traffic will resume from tomorrow, improving connectivity for the residents of Gurez, who rely on the route for essential supplies and travel.
