Doda, Sep 29 (KNC): Doda police on Monday said that a neborn female infant found dead in GMC Doda while police have registered FIR.
In a statement issued by Doda Police as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC reads, On 28.09.2025, at around 1600 hours, a dead body of a newborn female baby (aged approximately 5โ6 months) was found abandoned in the bathroom of the Emergency Ward, GMC Doda.
Taking cognizance of the matter, Police Post District Hospital (PP DH) Doda registered FIR No. 221/2025 under section 94 of the BNS.
The Investigating Officer (I/O), along with the FSL Team and Crime Photographer, visited the spot and carried out necessary legal and scientific formalities. The body was taken into custody for medico-legal examination.
Investigation into the case has been set into motion and further legal action is being taken as per law. (LNC)
