Amit Shah Visits Gurdwara in Poonch, Reviews Situation After Pakistan Shelling

Poonch, May 30 –- Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid a visit to Gurdwara Singh Sabha in Poonch on Thursday, in the wake of recent shelling by Pakistan in the border region. During his visit, Shah interacted with members of the local Sikh community and assured them of the central government’s unwavering support.
The Home Minister reviewed the current security situation and ongoing rehabilitation efforts for those affected by the cross-border firing. Expressing solidarity with the residents of Poonch, Shah emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety, security, and welfare of all border communities.
“We are fully committed to restoring peace in the region and providing all necessary assistance for the rehabilitation of affected families,” Shah said while addressing the community.
Local leaders and officials from the security forces briefed Shah on measures being taken to strengthen border security and provide relief to those displaced by the shelling. Community members expressed gratitude for the visit and voiced their concerns regarding safety and resettlement.
