Disciplinary Actions Taken Against Five Government Employees in Anantnag for Political Activity

Anantnag, 30th August: The district administration of Anantnag has implemented disciplinary measures against five government employees for their involvement in political activities during the ongoing elections, in violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

Two employees have been suspended immediately, while the wages of two others have been withheld pending further orders. Additionally, suspension has been recommended for one more employee.

According to Election Commission guidelines, government employees are prohibited from engaging in political activities or campaigning during the election period to ensure a fair and impartial electoral process.

The District Election Officer has issued a stern warning to all government employees, emphasizing the importance of adhering strictly to the Election Commission of India’s directives and refraining from any political involvement.
