PSAJK Mourns The Loss of Haji G.Q. Kawoosa, Chairman of G.D. Goenka Public School Srinagar

Association Also Condoles The Passing of Bright Student Nahid Hussain

Srinagar, August 30: The Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Haji Ghulam Qadir Kawoosa, Chairman of G.D. Goenka Public School, Srinagar.

In a heartfelt tribute, the Association acknowledged the significant impact of Haji Kawoosa’s contributions to education and society. “Alhaaj Kawoosa was not just a passionate advocate for education but also a social reformer, philanthropist, devout religious figure, and a compassionate human being. Whether it was donating prime property for a mosque, bringing quality education to Kashmir or extending a helping hand to those in need, he was a true beacon of service,” said a spokesperson of PSAJK.

A delegation from PSAJK, including President G N Var, Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo (Chairman of the Environment and Moral Education Council of PSAJK), Dr. M.A Shah (Professor, NIT), Mubashir Wafai, Adil Mirza, Ishfaq Ahmad, and other members, visited the bereaved family to offer their condolences. They expressed their deepest sympathies, particularly to Naseer Kawoosa, Imtiyaz Kawoosa and the entire family.

In addition to this profound loss, the Association also mourned the untimely demise of Nahid Hussain, a promising student of G.D. Goenka Public School, who bravely battled illness. PSAJK extends its thoughts and prayers to both families during this difficult time.

“May the memories of Haji Kawoosa and young Nahid inspire us all to continue fostering excellence in education and compassion within our schools,” the statement concluded.
