JKEDI Director Ajaz Ahmad Bhat Assesses Progress of Key Developmental Initiatives in Shadab Karewa

Shopian, Aug 31,: Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS), the Director of Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), conducted an extensive evaluation of crucial developmental projects in Shadab Karewa, Shopian. With a primary focus on advancing vital initiatives, Bhat reviewed the ongoing construction of a 50,000-gallon water service reservoir at Mir Mohalla and the installation of water supply pipes falling under the jurisdiction of the Jal Shakti Department.

The main objective of Bhat’s visit was to gauge the progress of these significant projects. Beginning with a thorough inspection of the Mir Mohalla water reservoir, he emphasized the urgency of completing this crucial infrastructure before winter. The reservoir’s completion is anticipated to greatly alleviate water scarcity issues in the tail end areas of Shadab Karewa.

Additionally, Bhat examined the advancement of the water supply pipe installation project, an integral component of the Jal Jeevan Mission. He applauded the successful laying of 3 out of the targeted 5 kilometers of water supply pipes. Urging the involved agencies to expedite their efforts, Bhat stressed the importance of completing the remaining portion before the onset of severe winter conditions.

“As winter approaches, our focus must be on timely project completion to ensure lasting benefits for Shadab Karewa’s residents. The administration is committed to fulfilling the community’s aspirations and achieving comprehensive progress in the region. Our engineers have done commendable work, and I’ve directed them to prioritize quality for sustainable outcomes,” stated Ajaz Ahmad Bhat.

During his visit, Bhat also engaged with students at Government High School, Shadab Karewa, encouraging them to foster self-reliance and an innovative mindset. He commended the school’s positive work culture and praised the Headmaster and his team for their efforts in nurturing a conducive environment for student growth.

In addition to the projects mentioned, Bhat interacted with local officials, engineers, and community members to gain deeper insights into the on-ground implementation of various developmental initiatives. His visit not only aimed to assess physical progress but also to ensure alignment with the broader developmental objectives of the Shadab Karewa region.
