The Meteorological Office in Kashmir on Sunday predicted light to moderate snowfall over higher reaches and some places in plains in Jammu and Kashmir.
Taking to a micro blogging Site, MeT Official said, “Weather is likely to turn cloudy as the day progresses today. From tonight (November 13) β November 15th, the weather is expected to be generally cloudy.
“Light to moderate rain/snow is expected over higher reaches at most places. Some places in the plains may receive 1-2 inches of snow on November 14”, he said.
From November 15-18, he said, weather would be cloudy and from November 19-20π©π, there is possibility of widespread light to moderate rain /snow. βThe forecast confidence is upto 75%β, he said.
Among probable impacts, he said, snowfall and low temperature may lead to temporary disruption of surface transportation, mainly over Zojila, Sadnatop, Mughal road etc on November 14 and 19-20th.
βPrior to embarking on a journey, people are advised to check the status of the road from traffic police,β official added.
