Grenade attack in Srinagar, civilian injured

Srinagar, Jan 22: A civilian was injured after militants hurled a grenade on security forces in Kashmir capital Srinagar on Sunday evening, reports said.

Reports reaching news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) said that some unknown militants hurled a grenade at Eidgah area here towards joint naka of police and CRPF 237 Battalion due to which one Civilian namely Aijaz Deva (32) son of Abdul Rashid Deva, a resident of Danmar Sangam sustained minor injury accordingly was brought to a local hospital and is said to be out of danger.

Police have rushed to spot and the searches have been launched to nab the attackers.

A police officer confirmed the incident to KDC and said a case under relevant section of law is being registered in this regard. (KDC)
