Illegal extraction and transportation of minerals;Police seizes 7 vehicles, arrests 7 persons in Ganderbal

September 11: Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police have seized 7 vehicles and arrested 7 persons in Ganderbal.

On the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, police parties led by SHO PS Ganderbal & Incharge PP Nagbal under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal seized 07 Tippers & arrested 07 Persons for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ganderbal & Police Post Nagbal. They have been identified as Aadil Ahmad Buhroo son of AB Ahad Buhroo resident of Bamloora, Manzoor Ahmad Khoroo son of Abdul Satar Khoroo resident of Saloora, Mehraj ud Din Mir son of Ab Ahad Mir resident of Saloora, Altaf Ahmad Dar son of Ab Ahad Dar resident of Malpora, Rayees Ah Bhat son of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat resident of Bobispora, Altaf Ahmad Wani son of Gh Nabi Wani resident of Nunar and Gh Mohammad son of Gh Mohi-ud-Din resident of Syedpora Khimber.

Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Ganderbal and investigations have been initiated.

Persons found indulging in illegal extraction activities shall be dealt with as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
