Srinagar, Aug 20: An encounter has broken out between Militants and security forces in Kujjar area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
An official told Kashmir Scroll (KS) that an encounter is underway at Kujjar area of Kulgam district.
“Earlier a cordon and search operation was launched in the area after an input was received about the presence of Militants”, the official said.
The firing was intermittently going on when this report was being filed.
Officials also confirmed the encounter through a post on X, they wrote, “#Encounter has started at Kujjar area of #Kulgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.
