BJP will emerge victorious in Parliamentary elections: Former Minister Sunil Sharma

Invites people to attend PM Modiโ€™s March 7 mega rally in Srinagar

Srinagar, Mar 02 : BJP senior leader and former minister Sunil Sharma Saturday said that BJP is always prepared for the elections and asserted the party will emerge victorious in the upcoming Parliamentary polls.

Talking exclusively to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Sharma said BJP is always prepared for elections be it Municipal, Panchayat, Assembly or Parliament. โ€œI want to make it clear that BJP is always ready for elections. After 2019 elections we prepared ourselves for 2024 polls,โ€ Sharma told KNS.

He said it is only BJP who is active on grassroots level in Jammu and Kashmir and is reaching out to people in far off areas. โ€œBJP is the only political party which is active and visible on ground. Today I had convened a meeting of party leaders here in Srinagar to chalk out strategy about PM Narendra Modiโ€™s March 7 visit. Whatever was required in this connection was taken up in the meeting,โ€ he said.

Sharma who is UT General Secretary and In-Charge Kashmir division said that BJPโ€™s Parliamentary Board has a mandate to decide about the candidates. โ€œIt is the prerogative of partyโ€™s Parliamentary Board to take a final call on the list. As far as BJP J&K Chief is concerned, it is up to the board where from he will be fielded,โ€ Sharma added.

Hitting out at National Conference, the BJP leader said that NC exists nowhere despite aligning with Gupkar and INDIA alliance. โ€œThis party (NC) ran political agenda in past and exploited youth of Jammu & Kashmir, but people have rejected this party now. I am sure NC will forget its address after the parliamentary elections,โ€ Sharma asserted.

He also invited people of Jammu and Kashmir to join the PM Modiโ€™s March 7 rally at Bakhshi Stadium Srinagar.
