Tragic Event: Father of Two Brides Dies on Wedding Day in Handwara

Srinagar: In a heartbreaking incident in Haril village of Mawer block, Handwara, Kupwara district, Nissar Ahmad Mir, a 50-year-old businessman and father of four daughters, passed away on the wedding day of his two daughters. The unfortunate event occurred at around 4 am on Friday.

Nissar Ahmad Mir’s daughters were scheduled to get married on the upcoming Saturday and Sunday. However, due to his sudden and untimely death, the wedding ceremonies were cancelled after discussions with elders from both families.

This incident has cast a pall of grief over the family and the community.
