10-day exhibition shines spotlight on rural women entrepreneurs

Srinagar, Aug 07 : Srinagar’s Zabarwan Park is currently hosting the much-anticipated “SARAS AAJEEVIKA Kashmir 3.0,” a ten-day festival dedicated to showcasing the exceptional talents of rural women entrepreneurs from across India.

Organized by the J&K Rural Livelihoods Mission under the Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, this event has become a celebrated platform for rural women to display their entrepreneurial spirit.

According to the details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the fair presents a captivating array of products, from intricately crafted textiles to fresh organic produce, highlighting the diverse skills and creativity of these rural businesswomen.

Each exhibit tells a unique story of innovation and tradition, reflecting the dedication and hard work of its creator.

Puja, a participant from Jammu, shared that it is a dream come true for them. “It not only provides a stage to showcase our products but also connects us with new opportunities and a larger audience. It’s incredibly empowering,” she said.

Notably, the SARAS AAJEEVIKA initiative is more than just an exhibition; it represents a significant step toward empowering rural women by opening doors to new markets and supporting their economic independence, she said.
