J&K National Conference Reinstates Old Pension Scheme
Srinagar: 18 Oct.; Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has announced that the National Conference is committed to reinstating the Old Pension Scheme. This initiative prioritizes the welfare of government employees, providing stability and security to those who have dedicated their careers to public service.
The Old Pension Scheme ensures a monthly pension to beneficiaries for life, equal to half of their last drawn salary. By reintroducing this pension plan, the National Conference demonstrates its unwavering support for hardworking government employees.
This move aligns with the party’s focus on employee welfare, reflecting its commitment to prioritizing government employees’ needs. Omar Abdullah, who took office on October 16, 2024, has made this initiative a key priority.
