Fully prepared to combat winter woes: Div Com Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 19, : Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri Thursday said that the administration is fully prepared to combat winter woes in Kashmir Valley. He stressed the administration’s proactive measures for winter preparedness and tourism promotion.

Bidhuri assured that preparations for the approaching winter season are being handled with precision and focus. He expressed optimism about hosting the Khelo India Games in Gulmarg without disruptions this year. “Last year, untimely snowfall caused delays, but this time, we are confident about maintaining the schedule,” he said.

Highlighting Kupwara’s untapped tourism potential, Bidhuri pointed to the success of events like the Bungus Festival. “Bungus is a hidden gem for eco-tourism, and we are actively exploring innovative strategies to promote it as a prime destination in Kupwara.”

Regarding winter readiness, Bidhuri emphasized the administration’s commitment to delivering better services than in previous years. “We are conducting daily reviews to ensure all arrangements are in place. Our goal is to make this winter season smoother and more efficient for everyone,” he added.
