Savita Samaj Yuva Sansthan Celebrates the 101st Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Jananayak Karpoori Thakur with Great Enthusiasm

Demand to Name the Park after Bharat Ratna Jananayak Karpoori Thakur

Savita Samaj Yuva Sansthan, continuing its tradition, celebrated the 101st birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Jananayak Karpoori Thakur with grandeur on January 24, 2025, at Jananayak Karpoori Park, Sector-H, Neera Nursing Home.

The event commenced with the chairperson of the Savita Yuva Sansthan, Radharani, and local councilor Nupur Sunil Shankhdhar offering floral tributes to the statue of Bharat Ratna Jananayak Karpoori Thakur. The program was graced by several dignitaries, including community leader and MLA Ramchandra Pradhan, BJP leader Anil Sen, Samajwadi leader Sanjay Vidyarthi, Savita Mahasabha President R.P. Savita, Nandvanshi Prerna Srot Sangathan President Om Prakash Thakur, MCA State President Rahul Sharma, and General Secretary of Shri Sant Shiromani Sen Ji Maharaj Welfare Committee, Umashankar Sharma, among others.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Ramchandra Pradhan expressed his delight that Savita Samaj Yuva Sansthan celebrates this occasion every year with great enthusiasm. He emphasized the growing unity within the community and appealed to the local councilor to rename the park after Bharat Ratna Jananayak Karpoori Thakur and establish a library building there. He also congratulated the councilor and the office-bearers of Savita Samaj Yuva Sansthan for their tireless efforts in constructing a canopy and other facilities around the statue of Jananayak Karpoori Thakur.

BJP leader Anil Sen paid his tributes to Bharat Ratna Jananayak Karpoori Thakur and appreciated the efforts of the office-bearers of Savita Samaj Yuva Sansthan, acknowledging their dedication to uniting the community. He assured his continued support for the community’s welfare.

Samajwadi leader Sanjay Vidyarthi reminisced about the organization’s founder, the late Anoop Verma, attributing the celebration at the park to his relentless efforts. He highlighted how Verma and others worked towards integrating the community into the mainstream, a legacy continued by the members of Savita Samaj Yuva Sansthan.

Councilor Nupur Sunil Shankhdhar expressed her pride in hosting such a significant celebration in her ward and praised the efforts of Savita Samaj Yuva Sansthan, assuring her unwavering support.

Chairperson Radharani paid homage to Bharat Ratna Jananayak Karpoori Thakur, describing him as a leader not just for their community but for all marginalized sections. She also remembered the late Anoop Verma, vowing to keep his legacy alive. Radharani extended her gratitude to the collaborating organizations, including Savita Mahasabha, Nandvanshi Prerna Srot Sangathan, MCA, Shri Sant Shiromani Sen Ji Maharaj Welfare Committee, and Nand Yuva Vahini, for their support.

The program also featured speeches by BJP leader Ajay Tripathi Munna, G.K. Sharma, Savita Mahasabha President R.P. Savita, Nandvanshi Prerna Srot Sangathan President Om Prakash Sharma, and others.

Dignitaries attending the event were honored with shawls and mementos. The program was attended by Savita Samaj Yuva Sansthan’s senior office-bearers, including Vice Presidents Pankaj Sharma and Prabhat Verma, General Secretaries Budh Prakash and Vijay Verma, Treasurer Pramod Kumar, and many others. Additionally, prominent community members, social workers, women, and children were present at the event.

The event was skillfully hosted by Captain D.K. Srivastava, General Secretary of Savita Mahasabha. A cultural program was presented by Hitesh Bharadwaj and his team, adding vibrancy to the occasion.

As part of the celebration, a padayatra (foot march) was organized by Nandvanshi Prerna Srot Sangathan and Dinesh Thakur, starting from Neera Nursing Home and concluding at Bharat Ratna Jananayak Karpoori Thakur Park. The padayatra saw participation from key members, including Ram Gopal Nand, Nandvanshi Satish Sharma, and others.
